The Water Entrepreneur, a Game Changer
The Eijkelkamp Foundation has started a drinkwater project in the North of Benin (West-Africa) in 2016. The aim is to provide 100.000 people in rural areas with safe drinking water. The Foundation does so by selecting and training young entrepreneurs to sell water with their WAPs. The young Entrepreneurs realise a sustainable water provision because it’s their living. These Water Access Points are solar-powered drill-holes equipped with a pre-paid system.
